ThriftUp is built by Urban Cretnik, a mathematician in Rotterdam. Under the feed is a vision model trained on roughly 135,000 complete outfits across 27 styles — so it learns what goes together, not only what looks the same. That is why the feed can suggest a bottom and shoes for a top you saved, and why a photo search returns pieces that match the look, not copies of it.
